Your chest of drawers and hutch, with all your books, mementos and your clothes in it, is still pretty much as it was when you left.

Your sister’s new cat, Aurora Chanel (Rori), enjoys the view from your bedroom window.

Your closet still has a lot of your stuff in it, including your tools, memorabilia and clothing; but it has been over-loaded with all our suitcases and off season clothing.

We have pictures of you in every room on the main level of the house.

At the high school there’s a black marble plaque with your name on it in front of a vigorously growing maple tree.

This website, with its biographical and reflective articles is available for anyone who’s interested.

I give special attention to the “Matt Memorial Garden” with its custom-inscribed plaque. It gets refreshed every season, spring, summer, fall and winter.

Also, in the yard we have memorial wind chimes and a wind sock (bought for one of your birthdays) that constantly remind us of you.

I visit your grave every week or two just to make sure everything is okay; I trim the grass, treat weeds, etc. It gets a change of decorations about seven times a year.
