Broken Trust

When you have seen someone, that you respected and trusted, selfishly make choices that put a life at risk, resulting in that person’s death, this with both the knowledge and cooperation of many others, it makes you suspicious of everyone, even yourself. So, I am now operating from a position that has two premises. First, that anyone can be self deceived or deceived by others to where they could do, or be complicit to, that which is wicked and destructive to others. Second, most people don't believe that to be true. The result of that “believing the best in everyone” makes people unaware of much of the evil around them and the very real danger that they could fall into the same trap.
